Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Marino & The Dough. By booking a masterclass with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Booking & Confirmation

  • All bookings must be made and paid for through the Marino & The Dough website.

  • Your booking is only confirmed once payment is complete and you have received a confirmation email.

  • Bookings must accurately reflect the number of guests participating in the masterclass.

  • Group bookings must include one paid spot per person.

  • Guests are expected to be honest about attendance numbers. If additional participants are present without prior notice, a supplementary charge per extra guest will be applied after the event.

2. Payments & Refund Policy

  • Full refunds are available for cancellations made 7 days or more before the scheduled event.

  • Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to be eligible for a refund.

  • Gift card purchases are non-refundable and are not eligible for cancellation refunds once issued.

3. Rescheduling Policy

  • Rescheduling is allowed up to 7 days before the event date.

  • Requests must be made in writing via email.

  • Gift card bookings are subject to the same rescheduling terms once a date has been confirmed.

4. Event Requirements & Setup

  • Clients must provide a kitchen benchtop, dining table, or similar clean workspace for the masterclass.

  • If this is not possible, please contact Luke prior to the event to arrange an alternative.

  • An outdoor area is required for the setup of the pizza oven. Luke will bring a table and a gas-powered oven.

  • Guests must ensure that their property allows the use of gas-powered equipment.

  • Luke will arrive 15–30 minutes before the event start time for setup.

  • Final event details (timing, access, parking) will be discussed with Luke once the booking is confirmed.

5. Guest Participation

  • Each paid guest will enjoy one handcrafted pizza as part of the masterclass.

  • Guests are responsible for bringing their own additional snacks, beverages, and glasses.

  • Only paying participants are permitted to join the masterclass.

  • No drinks will be provided; guests must supply their own glasses.

6. Parking & Access

  • A suitable parking space must be made available for unloading equipment.

  • If only paid parking is available or access is difficult, this must be communicated to Luke prior to the event.

  • Additional fees may apply if parking arrangements cause delays or complications.

7. Travel Fees

  • Travel is included for locations within 35 km of Broadbeach, Gold Coast (QLD).

  • For locations beyond 35 km, a standard $100 travel fee will be added to the booking.

8. Safety & Code of Conduct

  • Guests must consume alcohol responsibly.

  • Heavy intoxication or the use of illicit substances is strictly prohibited.

  • Marino & The Dough reserves the right to terminate the masterclass immediately in cases of disrespectful behaviour toward Luke or unsafe conduct.

  • Marino & The Dough accepts no responsibility for the behaviour of guests.

  • Guests must respect all equipment. Any damages to utensils, tools, or the pizza oven will be charged accordingly.

  • Luke is responsible for cleaning his own equipment and work area after the event. Guests are responsible for the general tidiness of their home (kitchen, dining area, etc.).

Important Safety Notes:

  • The pizza oven is gas-powered and operated solely by Luke.

  • Guests must maintain a safe distance from the oven at all times.

  • Guests are not permitted to operate or adjust the pizza oven.

  • Any damage to the pizza oven caused by guests will incur a $2,000 replacement fee.

9. Liability

  • Marino & The Dough is not liable for injuries, accidents, or damages resulting from unsafe behaviour around the pizza oven.

  • It is the client's responsibility to ensure their property is suitable for the safe use of gas-powered equipment.

10. Weather Policy

  • In the case of a severe storm, the event will be rescheduled.

  • If rain is forecast, guests must communicate with Marino & The Dough regarding their home setup (e.g., covered outdoor areas).

  • Light rain will not necessarily cancel the event if appropriate cover is available.

11. General Notes

  • We are committed to creating a memorable, safe, and seamless experience for you and your guests.

  • If you have any special requests, setup concerns, or questions, please contact Luke directly prior to your event.

12. Gift Cards

Gift cards may be purchased through the Marino & The Dough website and are valid for two (2) years from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated.

Gift cards are redeemable toward any Marino & The Dough masterclass or private event, subject to availability and these Terms & Conditions.

Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

The value of a gift card may be used toward a booking that meets the minimum group size requirements outlined below. If the total cost of the selected masterclass exceeds the gift card value, the remaining balance must be paid at the time of booking.

13. Gift Card Redemption & Group Size Requirements

Marino & The Dough masterclasses are designed for a minimum of six (6) paying participants, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Gift cards may be purchased for any value and gifted to individuals, couples, or small groups (for example, two to four people). In these cases, the gift card holder is responsible for organising the remaining participants to meet the minimum group size at the time of booking.

More intimate masterclasses for two (2) to four (4) participants may be available on request. These sessions incur a higher per-person rate, as preparation, setup, and equipment requirements remain the same as for a standard group booking.

Gift card holders are encouraged to contact Marino & The Dough prior to booking if they are unsure which option best suits their occasion.
